I hope this post finds you well, and that you are gearing up for an exciting summer! Did you know that this upcoming summer is the perfect time for STEM career exploration?! It’s true! In the summer months students have more time to explore, discover, and get involved in career exploration initiatives over summer break. Thus I urge you to leverage this critical time to help your students build a future they love 😊 If you are looking for EFFORTLESS ways to do so, here’s how I can help!

Quick Start STEM Career Exploration Kit: If you don’t have this already, download free at This Kit has lots of free STEM career exploration resources to help you get started such as a ‘why STEM careers’ presentation, a career exploration graphic organizer, program assessment tool, and lots more. These are fast, easy, click and go resources that would be a great fit for intro type activities for any summer program.

Each monthly newsletter I send out (first Tuesday of each month) includes link to a free STEM career exploration poster for the month. June will go out on the 6th. This poster will feature ‘summer’ related careers. When you click on the title of each career within the poster it goes to the matching online career profile in my Explorer system with virtual job shadow YouTube video, career info sheet (in English & Spanish), and hands-on ‘try it’ activity. I also announce exclusive free offers in the monthly newsletter, such as our annual $500 Summer STEM Scholarship Contest. Be sure to open these emails – there’s tons of good stuff in there!

As an idea you could do the ‘why STEM careers’ presentation from the free Kit, then have students explore the careers from the June poster from the newsletter, then have them use the graphic organizer from the Kit to keep track of careers they are interested in. All of this would be free, and all would work whether in person or virtual!

Career Coach is a ten-week hybrid mentoring program where your staff is trained to provide one-on-one career coaching and mentoring to students in your program. The primary goal of Career Coach is to improve student employment potential and build critically needed STEM skills through caring, supportive relationships with a Career Coach. The first two sessions are workshop style, in-person at your school or local meeting center, where students will learn the essentials of STEM career exploration. Students then meet weekly via Zoom with a local early career STEM mentor for personalized career coaching (max group size of 2 students). The primary goal of these career coaching sessions is to help students take the first steps towards their future STEM career through the planning and implementation of a Personal Passion Project (PPPs). A game-based incentive system is woven throughout to help students stay motivated and develop employment potential. The final 10th meet is a celebration, sharing of PPPs, and awarding of the $500 scholarship! MORE INFO & DEETS ON $1,099.75 BOGO OFFER HERE
