STEP 1: Explore the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Which species on this list are you most passionate about saving? Why?
STEP 2: Research to find out about current conservation efforts for that species.
STEP 3: Write a personal action plan for this species. What is being done, and how will YOU help? Name at least 3 specific actions you will take. Here are some ideas to consider:
- Are there any local zoos that have conservation programs related to this animal?
- Are there any nonprofit organizations dedicated to this animal?
- Are there any related volunteer opportunities?
STEP 4: Do it! While you are taking action, raise awareness for your cause by sharing your work in the Student Showcase.
