Here’s your chance to test your skills as a voice actor! Using everyday technology like your phone or laptop, you can create your own voice overs and bring characters to life!
STEP 1: Choose your favorite scene from a movie or TV show. This scene should be a couple minutes long.
STEP 2: Pick one (or more) character(s) from the scene and study what they say. Write their lines down; this will be what you will be voicing!
STEP 3: Once you have the lines down, analyze the actions and emotions of the character you are studying. Are they happy, sad, or anxious? Practice changing your voice to convey the emotions and personality of the character you are voicing over.
STEP 4: Use your phone or another device to record an audio clip of you doing a voiceover! Try watching the real clip (muted) as you read your lines so they match up with the character’s movements and actions.
STEP 5: Share your voiceover recording in the Student Showcase to build your resume!
