VIRTUAL JOB SHADOW
Welcome to your first day on the job! Watch this video to see what a day in the life of a UX Designer is like.
STEP 1: Use these CSS Flip cards (codepen.io) to experiment with User Experience design! Manipulate the CSS flip cards by using the HTML and CSS code outlines at the top. Change the following variables:
-Color
-Text
-Image
STEP 2: Pick something you’d like to make a UX interface (in other words, a screen that shows something) for. Imagine you’ve been hired by your favorite clothing line, candy brand, sports team – whatever you want!
STEP 3: There are three CSS Flip cards (at the link above). Use them to make three different UX interfaces – in other words, three different versions of a screen – for the item you chose in step 2.
STEP 4: Show your three CSS flip card designs to at least 4 family members and/or friends. Have them vote on which UX interface they like the best, and why. Take notes on their feedback to help you improve!
STEP 5: If you desire, implement any feedback you received. Then take a screenshot of your winning CSS flip card. Upload it to the Student Showcase along with a description of WHY it was the winner – build your resume as a UX Designer!
