VIRTUAL JOB SHADOW
Welcome to your first day on the job! Watch this video to see what a day in the life of a Regenerative Medicine Researcher is like.
STEP 1: Research different types of organisms that can regenerate body parts. Make a list of the organisms you find and what part(s) it can regenerate.
STEP 2: Acting as a regenerative medicine researcher, research to figure out HOW these organisms are able to regenerate.
STEP 3: Which of the organisms and regeneration abilities would you most want to research to apply to humans? Why?
STEP 4: Imagine after years of research you figured out how to bring your idea from step 3 to life! TIME Magazine wants to do a cover story about you and your scientific breakthrough. Create a magazine cover image & headline to tell the world about your amazing new discovery:
- What can humans now regrow because of your research?
- How does it work? What is the science behind it?
- How will your discovery change life as we know it? (you can hand draw your magazine cover page, or use a free technology tool like Canva)
STEP 5: Share your magazine cover page in the Student Showcase to build your resume & show people what is possible!
