A performance coach helps people improve their performance in areas such as athletics, finance, leadership, mindset, and pretty much anything worth doing!
VIRTUAL JOB SHADOW
Welcome to your first day on the job! Watch this video to see what a day in the life of a Performance Coach is like.
STEP 1: Find a partner, some bean bags, and a cornhole board. If you don’t have a cornhole board, cut a wide whole in a stiff piece of cardboard or make an outline of a 12in diameter circle with tape on the floor.
STEP 2: Let your partner play the game first. The goal of cornhole is to toss the beanbag into the board hole. Have your partner throw at least three beanbags. As they throw, watch them closely. Notice their stance, tossing technique, arc of throw, release point, etc.
STEP 3: Be a performance coach! Based on your observations, what is the ONE thing they need to improve most? Tell your partner what he/she can do to improve in a friendly, supportive way like good coaches do!
STEP 3: Have your partner throw 3 more times. Do they improve when they follow your advice?
STEP 4: Switch! Now you will be the player and your partner will be the performance coach.
STEP 5: Keep practicing and coaching each other to improve. Post a video of you getting it in the cornhole 3/3 times in the Student Showcase for chance to win $20!
