VIRTUAL JOB SHADOW
Welcome to your first day on the job! Watch this video to see a day in the life of a Marine Biologist.
1. Research: Start by exploring the different types of marine life and their specific habitat needs. This could include light, temperature, food sources, and companionship. Choose up to three marine life to build your aquarium for.
2. Design: Draw a blueprint of your dream aquarium on paper. Remember to consider the needs of the marine life you’ve chosen.
-Where will they eat, sleep, and play?
-How will you keep the water clean and at the right temperature?
-What type of habitat do they need?
-What will they eat?
3. Label: Label the different parts of your aquarium and write a brief description of their purpose. For example, “This is the feeding area where the fish will eat their meals.”
4. Share your design in the Student Showcase. Explain why you chose the marine life you did and how your aquarium meets their needs.
