Want to be a biologist? Get started in your own backyard! Here’s a simple but fun activity to show how much biodiversity you have close to home:
- Go outside to your backyard or local park. Bring your phone.
- Set a timer on your phone for 15 minutes.
- Take pictures of EVERYTHING living that you see in these 15 minutes.
- When you get back home, upload your pictures to create a google slide show of everything you found. Each slide should include a picture and the name of the organism.
- Research any organisms you found that you don’t know!
- Optional: Share your slideshow in the Student Showcase to build your resume!
