STEP 1: Open https://scied.ucar.edu/interactive/make-thunderstorm
STEP 2: Follow the steps to experiment! Try adjusting temperature, humidity, and wind to see how these factors affect thunderstorm development. Make observations and take notes as you go.
STEP 3: Now the challenge. Imagine you are an atmospheric scientist, and your six year old daughter just asked you how thunderstorms happen. How would you explain this to a young child? Write a short explanation, simple story, or poem to explain how thunderstorms form. Incorporating the scientific knowledge you gained in the game, but make sure a six year old can understand it!
STEP 4: Share your answer in the Student Showcase to build your resume as an Atmospheric Scientist!
