Citizen Science Month is April. Are you going celebrate? Or maybe you’ve never even heard of it? That’s okay, that’s what we’re here for!
Citizen Science Month is an annual event hosted by the Citizen Science Association. The event is dedicated to the celebration of how science and the general population harmonize. Things like volunteer programs, passion projects and STEM trailblazers are just some of the things highlighted at this event!
Citizen Science Month is teaming up with SciStarter to spread the word about CitSci Month! SciStarter is an organization dedicated to matching up people with scientific events and projects happening across the country. In addition to that, SciStarter also keeps track of various scientific contributions and makes available the resources needed for ‘citizens’ (hence the name!) to participate in citizen science projects. Use the handy widget below to see how you can get involved! Citizen Science is a great way to get outside, get active, and contribute to real projects happening in your community. You can even list it on your resume! Many projects can be completed right in your own backyard or from a computer – social distancing friendly!
